The calendar feature is a game-changer for The Sims 4, as the addition of the four seasons (with weather, temperatures, and seasonal events) brings a greater sense of time progression and realism to the experience. Seasons dramatically enhances the core of the game, and we can't imagine playing without it. While all of the other packs are somewhat dependent on whether you're on board with the concept and how it complements your playstyle, this is the only expansion that we consider a must-have for all players. You can still add them, but you will have to replace the missing parts.Essential. If you don’t have the expansion packs the creator used, some items will not show up in or on the house you add to your game. Last but not least, make sure that you read the descriptions of the lots you download! This will tell you important information like if CC was used or not, and what expansion packs were used to create it. For many of the CC houses you download, you will need to enable the bb.moveobjects cheat before you place the lot or the items will not be placed properly. Here you should be able to see the lot you downloaded! Click on the house, and in the bottom right corner, there is a Place Lot button.
On the filters list on the side, you will need to check the box Include Custom Content. This is also where you will find Maxis lots, households, and rooms.
To do this, you will go to Manage Worlds and in the top right corner, click on My Library. Some CC lots will have an additional folder that you will add to the Mods folder as you do with typical CC.Īfter you add the lot you want correctly to the right folder, you will need to place it in-game. Make sure that you put the files directly into the Tray folder and not in any sub-folder or your game will not be able to read the files. After you download the house you want, instead of putting the files from the zip folder in the Mods folder, you will put them in the folder labeled Tray.
